  5. For years, the top independant crackers and cracking groups
  6. from all over the world have been cracking literally thousands
  7. of programs annually. Finally, an archive with all of the
  8. best and latest is in your hands!

  10. This CD-ROM focuses not just on "cracks" but more specifically
  11. Reg Key Generators and Serials.  A Reg Key Generator is a
  12. very clever example of reverse-engineering.  It is a program
  13. which generates valid reg keys for a program by using the
  14. same algorithm used by the authtor of the program.  These
  15. Reg Key Generators (or Key Gens) are provided for academic
  16. study only.  Even if you own a specific piece of software, you
  17. should continue to use your valid reg key. Not doing so could
  18. be a violate the terms of your license agreement.

  23. ---<USING THE DATABASES>--------------------------------------
  24. One of the Serial databases on the CD is Serials 2000. Serials
  25. 2000 must be installed on your PC for it to be used. You can
  26. install it directly from the CD Menu. From then on, you can
  27. run Serials 2000 from your Windows Start Menu.

  29. ** IMPORTANT **
  30. Serials 2000 has meny updates available. These updates have
  31. been included in the "\databases\serials 2000\Updates"
  32. folder.  You can add all of these updates from within the
  33. Serials 2000 program. To perform an update do the following:
  34.  
  35. Launch Serials 2000 and go to File, Update Database.  It will
  36. then prompt you for the directory that the *.seu files are in.
  37. ("D:\databases\serials 2000\Updates" - where D: is the letter
  38. of your CD-ROM drive.) Just navigate to that directory and
  39. select the *.seu files you need to update. Then hit ok, and
  40. watch the update  process take place. After each update, it
  41. will ask you if you want  to delete the update file. DO NOT
  42. choose to delete it-- the update is on a CD-ROM and therefore
  43. can't be deleted. After  you have successfully updated all the
  44. files,  close  the  program,  and re-open it. The title of the
  45. window should now be your new version. If it's not, the
  46. update didn't happen correctly, so try again.

  48. ---<TROUBLESHOOTING>------------------------------------------
  49. No known problems exist. However, you may experience problems
  50. running "Oscar" directly from the CD-ROM. If this is the case,
  51. you should copy it to your hard drive and run it from there.
  52. Oscar can be fould in the \databases\oscar folder on the CD.
